Course overview

This core unit of the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification provides the skills and knowledge required to design and to develop assessment tools used to guide the collection of quality evidence, including their application in formative, summative and recognition of prior learning (RPL) assessment.

Target audience

This unit of competency is suitable for people working in a training and assessment role in any industry, with vocational competence in their proposed training and assessing area.

This program has been designed for individuals who hold the TAE40110 and are seeking to remain current following the recent Amendment to the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).

Recognition of prior learning

Recognition of prior learning is suitable for individuals who have evidence of previous skills and experience in a management or supervisory role. This could be experience from formal or informal education or previous work experience.

Appeals and complaints

If a learner has an issue with any aspect of their training course, they should bring this to the attention of their trainer or to the RTO Manager of Schrole Develop who will attempt to resolve this in an informal  manner to the learner’s satisfaction.

If the learner is not satisfied with the outcome of the informal complaint, they may lodge a formal complaint by completing the formal Complaint and Appeals Form.  This will be dealt with in accordance with the Complaints and Appeals Policy.

Learners have the right to appeal the outcome of an assessment decision if they are dissatisfied and feel they have been dealt with unfairly. This can be done by completing the Complaint and Appeals Form.  The appeal will be dealt with in accordance with the Complaints and Appeals Policy.

Fees and refunds

Course fee payments or deposits up to $1500 are required 7 working days prior to the commencement of the course.  At no time will Schrole Develop invoice an individual learner more than $1500 prior to the commencement of a course.

Certification

A statement of attainment will be issued to learners for the units of competency in this course after they have attended the course and are deemed competent in their assessments for each of these units of competency.
