Course Overview

The Diploma of Training Design and Development reflects the roles of training developers and instructional designers who are responsible for analysing training needs and designing training solutions and products to meet workplace capability requirements and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs.

Our qualification also includes implementing strategies to support diversity in the workplace. This qualification allows trainers and assessors to train the TAE training package in compliance with the Standards for RTO’s 2015.

Target Audience

This qualification is suitable for training developers and instructional designers who are responsible for analysing training needs then designing training solutions and products to meet workplace capability requirements.

This qualification is recommended for lead traingers or training managers who provide guidance and advice to trainers and assessors and promote innovative practices

Other job roles that may benefit from this qualification include heads of training teams and learning and development teams.

Learning Outcomes

 
Course Delivery

The Diploma of Training Design and Development is delivered either face to face over three modules at our Osborne Park Training facility or self-paced, which is ideal for holders of the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Face to Face Classroom Delivery

The modules are spread over a minimum of 12 months to embed the application of the learning in the workplace.

Self-Paced Learning

Schrole ETAS offers the Diploma in Training Development and design through a structured self-paced program which can be completed over a period of 12 months. The program is offered in three (3) learning clusters with students working through a unit at a time. A trainer and assessor will be assigned to work with the learner through each unit to ensure the learning outcomes are met and provide support to develop a portfolio of evidence and complete assessments.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of prior learning is suitable for individuals who have evidence of previous skills and experience in a training and assessment environment. This could be experience from formal or informal education or previous work experience. If you believe you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning please complete the  RPL application or contact us on 08 9230 7010 to speak to one of our experienced facilitators. Payment options include credit card payments, electronic funds transfers and direct debit which will need to be selected on enrolment.
Pre-course information

Prior to enrolling into this course please review the following information that outlines all terms and conditions and your rights and responsibilities.

LLN and assessment support

This qualification requires individuals to have a high level of language, literacy and numeracy skills for individuals to design training solutions, analyse training needs and evaluate training programs. As part of the enrolment process, individuals are required to complete a language, literacy, and numeracy skills assessment. This allows the facilitator to determine the support that is required throughout the course. The LLN skills assessment will be emailed to you upon receipt of your completed enrolment form. Please submit the completed skills assessment at least two days prior to the course start date.
Learners have access to the assessors for assessment support and complimentary workshops are available for learners requiring additional support with assessments. For further information please refer to our student handbook
 

Appeals and complaints

If a learner has an issue with any aspect of their training course they should bring this to the attention of their trainer or to the RTO Manager of Schrole DEVELOP who will attempt to resolve this in an informal  manner to the learner’s satisfaction.
If the learner is not satisfied with the outcome of the informal complaint, they may lodge a formal complaint by completing the formal Complaint and Appeals form. This will be dealt with in accordance with the Complaints and Appeals policy.
Learners have the right to appeal the outcome of an assessment decision if they are dissatisfied and feel they have been dealt with unfairly. This can be done by completing theComplaint and Appeals form.The appeal will be dealt with in accordance with the Complaints and Appeals policyfound here
 

Fees and refunds

Schrole DEVELOP’s training design and development course allows learners to select the payment options available to them.
Course fee payments or deposits up to $1500 are required 7 working days prior to the commencement of the course. At no time will Schrole DEVELOP invoice an individual learner more than $1500 prior  to the commencement of a course. 
 
Schrole DEVELOP has a fair and equitable refund policy deigned to safeguard all learners ensuring compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2015. Prior to enrolment please review our fees and refund policy.
 

Credit transfers

Schrole DEVELOP recognises qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other Registered Training Organisations.  Learners who have successfully completed equivalent units of competency with another RTO can apply for a credit transfer.  
Both processes allow the learner to reduce the time, study load and cost associated with achieving a qualification.
Learners may apply for a Credit Transfer by submitting a verification of qualification permission form  or RPL credit form along with original or certified certificates and record of results or a statement of attainment, by uploading the form and evidence here
