Presentation skills are required when delivering effective and engaging presentations to a variety of audiences. Presentation skills can be applied to marketing, sales, training, promotions, or those requiring communication skills in presenting a range of concepts and ideas.
This course covers the skills and knowledge required to prepare, deliver and review a presentation to a target audience.
This course applies to individuals who may be expected to make presentations for a range of purposes, such as marketing, training and promotions or those requiring communication skills in presenting a range of concepts and ideas.
Apply skills and techniques when planning and organising an effective presentation
Select and apply appropriate presentation strategies, delivery methods, and presentation aids.
- Deliver an effective presentation, taking into consideration verbal and non-verbal communication, overcoming anxiety, responding to questions and managing difficult people.
- Building confidence in presenting to others

Once participants have been deemed competent in this unit, it can be used as a credit towards the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management.
Participants will be required to consider a topic that they would like to deliver as a 10-15 minute presentation on day 2 of the course. Participants can bring along any equipment / presentation aids that they require for their presentation.
