Course Overview

The BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership & Management focuses on developing emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

During this course you will learn how to guide and support your team members, improve your personal and time management skills as well as provide the necessary skills to lead an effective workplace.

You will cover topics such as team effectiveness, communication, operational planning and risk management.
 

Target Audience

This qualification is suitable for people working in a supervisor, coordinator or leading hand role who are either new to the role or who have some supervisory experience across various industries.

Course Delivery

The Certificate IV in Leadership and Management is delivered face to face over four clusters (12 units of competency) at our Osborne Park Training facility or self-paced.

Face to Face Workshop

The clusters are spread over a minimum of six months to embed the application of learning in the workplace.

Self-paced

Schrole ETAS offers the Certificate IV in Leadership & Management through a structured self-paced program which can be completed over a period of 12 months. The program is offered in four learning clusters with students working through a unit at a time. A trainer and assessor will be assigned to work with the learner through each unit to ensure the learning outcomes are met and provide support to develop a portfolio of evidence and complete assessments.

 Recognition of Prior Learning

Recognition of prior learning is suitable for individuals who have evidence of previous skills and experience in a management or supervisory role. This could be experience from formal or informal education or previous work experience. If learner’s believe they may be eligible for recognition of prior learning please complete our RPL/Credit Transfer Application Form or contact us on 08 9230 7010 to speak to one of our experienced facilitators. Payment options include credit card payments, electronic funds transfers and direct debit which will need to be selected on enrolment.

Prior to enrolling into this course please review the following information that outlines all terms and conditions and your rights and responsibilities.

LLN and assessment support

This qualification requires individuals to have a high level of language, literacy and numeracy skills for individuals to lead a team effectively, undertake operational planning and implement risk management. As part of the enrolment process, individuals are required to complete a language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills assessment. This allows the facilitator to determine the support that is required throughout the course.

The LLN skills assessment will be emailed to the learner upon receipt of their completed enrolment form. Please submit the completed skills assessment at least two days prior to the course start date.

Learners have access to the assessors for assessment support and complimentary workshops are available for learners requiring additional support with assessments. For further information please refer to our  student handbook.

Appeals and complaints

If a learner has an issue with any aspect of their training course, they should bring this to the attention of their trainer or to the RTO Manager of Schrole DEVELOP who will attempt to resolve this in an informal manner to the learner’s satisfaction.

If the learner is not satisfied with the outcome of the informal complaint, they may lodge a formal complaint by completing the formal Complaint and Appeals form. This will be dealt with in accordance with the Complaints and Appeals policy.

Learners have the right to appeal the outcome of an assessment decision if they are dissatisfied and feel they have been dealt with unfairly. This can be done by completing the Complaint and Appeals form. The appeal will be dealt with in accordance with the Complaints and Appeals policy.

Fees and refunds

Schrole DEVELOP’s Certificate IV in Leadership and Management course allows for individuals to enrol into clusters instead of the whole qualification when delivered as a face to face workshop. The fees for each cluster can be found on the relevant webpage.

Schrole DEVELOP’s Certificate IV in Leadership and Management self-paced course allows learners to select the payment options available to them.
Course fee payments or deposits up to $1500 are required 7 working days prior to the commencement of the course. At no time will Schrole DEVELOP invoice an individual learner more than $1500 prior to the commencement of a course. 

Schrole DEVELOP has a fair and equitable refund policy deigned to safeguard all learners ensuring compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2015. Prior to enrolment please review our fees and refund policy.

Credit transfers

Schrole DEVELOP recognises qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other Registered Training Organisations.  Learners who have successfully completed equivalent units of competency with another RTO can apply for a credit transfer.  

Both processes allow the learner to reduce the time, study load and cost associated with achieving a qualification.

Learners may apply for a Credit Transfer for any of the equivalent unit by submitting an verification of qualification permission form  and RPL Credit form along with original or certified certificates and record of results or a statement of attainment, by uploading the form and evidence here.
