BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership and Management Overview

The International Diploma of Leadership & Management is designed to provide you with the tools and techniques that can be implemented to maximise your personal performance as a leader and lead your team effectively to improve your organisation’s productivity.
These tools and techniques will also assist you in determining how to measure and monitor your organisational performance, through operational planning, project management and innovation.

Target audience

This qualification would suit individuals working in middle management positions or those working in a team leader role who are looking to move into middle management.

Individuals who display initiative and judgement and those who identify, analyse and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems will also benefit from this program.

International Qualification Level

The International Diploma of Leadership & Management is set at an Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) Level 5, which is equivalent to the

Course delivery

Schrole Develop offers the International Diploma of Leadership & Management as a private course through a blended learning model
over a 12 month period as follows:

  • Monthly scheduled online face to face live training sessions in real time
  • 24 hour access to the learning management system with built in complementary resources
  • Regularly posted questions, resource updates and check-in's
  • Regular access and support from trainers
  • Weekly catch-up sessions

At the conclusion of the program successful participants are awarded the BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership and Management qualification.

Recognition of prior learning

Recognition of prior learning is suitable for individuals who have evidence of previous skills and experience in a management role. This could be experience from formal or informal education or previous work experience.

Pre-course information
Prior to enrolling into this course please review the following information that outlines all terms and conditions and your rights and responsibilities.

LLN and assessment support

This qualification requires individuals to have a high level of language, literacy and numeracy skills for individuals to implement workplace strategies regarding team effectiveness, analyse information to manage operational plans and implement risk management processes.

As part of the enrolment process, individuals are required to complete a language, literacy, and numeracy skills assessment.  This allows the facilitator to determine the support that is required throughout the course. 

The LLN skills assessment will be emailed to you upon receipt of your completed enrolment form. Please submit the completed skills assessment at least two days prior to the course start date. 

Learners have access to the assessors for assessment support.  For further information please refer to our student handbook.

Appeals and complaints

If a learner has an issue with any aspect of their training course, they should bring this to the attention of their trainer or to the RTO Manager of Schrole Develop who will attempt to resolve this in an informal manner to the learner’s satisfaction.

If the learner is not satisfied with the outcome of the informal complaint, they may lodge a formal complaint by completing the formalComplaint and Appeals form.  This will be dealt with in accordance with the Complaints and Appeals policy.

Learners have the right to appeal the outcome of an assessment decision if they are dissatisfied and feel they have been dealt with unfairly.  This can be done by completing the Complaint and Appeals form.  The appeal will be dealt with in accordance with the Complaints and Appeals policy.

Fees and refunds

Schrole Develop’s Diploma of Leadership and Management course allows learners to select the payment options available to them.
Course fee payments or deposits up to $1500 are required 7 working days prior to the commencement of the course.  At no time will Schrole Develop invoice an individual learner more than $1500 prior to the commencement of a course. 
Schrole Develop has a fair and equitable refund policy designed to safeguard all learners ensuring compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2015. Prior to enrolment please review our fees and refund policy.

Credit transfers

Schrole Develop recognises qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other Registered Training Organisations.  Learners who have successfully completed equivalent units of competency with another RTO can apply for a credit transfer.  

Both processes allow the learner to reduce the time, study load and cost associated with achieving a qualification.
Learners may apply for a Credit Transfer by submitting a verification of qualification permission form along with original or certified certificates and record of results or a statement of attainment, by uploading the form and evidence here.


The BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership and Management certificate will be issued to learners after they have attended all the training sessions and are deemed competent in all their assessments for each of the 12 units of competency.
